ABOUT DFRC
Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens with Intellectual disABILITIES
For 70 years, DFRC has been raising funds and consciousness in support of programs that enrich the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disABILITIES.

Blue-Gold All★Star Football Game
In 1956, DFRC's most well-known event, the DFRC Blue-Gold All★Star Football Game was created as a fundraising event by two Delawareans - Bob Carpenter, Jr. and Jim Williams - who shared a common interest in sports and a desire to help people with intellectual disABILITIES.
Since 1956, DFRC has distributed more than
$6.4 Million
in grant funding to Delaware programs that benefit these individuals.

Additional Programs
Each year, with the help of volunteers, community partners, individual contributors, and corporate sponsors, DFRC puts on five signature fundraising events raising thousands of dollars to support programs that encourage individuals with intellectual disABILITIES to maximize their potential, independence, and enjoyment of life.
To further strengthen the tie to DFRC's mission and the Blue-Gold Program, the Hand-in-Hand Program was added in 1974. This optional program matches the high school students participating in the DFRC Blue-Gold All★Star Football Game with children and young adults with intellectual disABILITIES for a four-month experience, fostering social relationships and mutual respect and understanding.
